Subway and rail service changes: June 7-10, 2024 (2024)

Happy Friday! Whether you're headed to Brooklyn Pride, Governors Ball, the Puerto Rican Day Parade, or anywhere else around our region this weekend, the MTA can take you there.

For those traveling to or from 116 Ston Saturday, note that this station will be exit-only from noon to 5 p.m. to prevent overcrowding during the 116th Street Festival. And, on Sunday, 77 Stwill be exit-only from 7 a.m. to 9 pm. to prevent overcrowding during the Puerto Rican Day Parade. We'll also be running extratrains from noon to 7 p.m. on Sunday to better serve paradegoers.

Here's what else is happening this weekend (also viewable as a handy map):

  • trains aren't running between Court Sq and Bedford-Nostrand Avs.

Major subway service changes

trains, Brooklyn

trains aren't running between Crown Heights-Utica Av and New Lots Av in either direction from 3:30 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday because of track replacement.

  • For service between Crown Heights-Utica Av and New Lots Av, take free shuttle buses, which are making allstops.
  • trains are running between Harlem-148 St and Crown Heights-Utica Av.
  • trains are running between Woodlawn and Crown Heights-Utica Av.

trains, Brooklyn and Queens

trains aren't running between Court Sq and Bedford-Nostrand Avs in either direction from 9:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday because of signal modernization work.

  • For service between Court Sq and Bedford-Nostrand Avs, take free B98 shuttle buses, which are making allstops.
  • When exiting the subway at Court Sq, Metropolitan Av/Lorimer St, or Bedford-Nostrand Avs, get a GO Ticket from a station agent for re-entry.
  • trains are running between Bedford-Nostrand Avs and Church Av.

trains are running on thebetween 36 St and Coney Island-Stillwell Av in both directions from 10:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday because of structural improvement work.

  • For service to/from 45 St, 53 St, and 59 St, take the.
  • For service to/from bypassed stations between 59 St and Coney Island-Stillwell Av, take free shuttle buses, which are making allstops.
  • trains are stopping at theplatform at 62 St (New Utrecht Av).
  • When exiting the subway at 59 St, 62 St/New Utrecht Av, or Coney Island-Stillwell Av, get a GO Ticket from a station agent for re-entry.

trains are running on thein both directions between Canal St and Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr all day Saturday and Sunday andtrains are running on thein both directions between Canal St and DeKalb Av from 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday. This is because of track maintenance.

  • At Canal St,trains are stopping at theplatform.
  • During the day and evening,trains are running every 10 minutes whiletrains share tracks.

trains, Manhattan

Uptowntrains aren't stopping between 96 St and 145 St from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday because of electrical improvement work.

  • For service to/from bypassed stations, take a downtown train.

Downtownandlocal trains aren't stopping between 96 St and 72 St from 9:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday because of structural maintenance.

  • For service to/from bypassed stations, take an uptown local train.
  • During the day and evening on Saturday,trains are running every 8 minutes andtrains are running every 12 minutes whiletrains share tracks in Manhattan.

trains, Manhattan

Downtownandlocal trains aren't stopping between Grand Central-42 St and 14 St-Union Sq from 9:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Sunday because of electrical maintenance.

  • For service to/from bypassed stations, take a uptown local train.
  • During the day and evening on Saturday,trains are running every 20 minutes andtrains are running every 8 minutes whiletrains share tracks in Manhattan.

trains, the Bronx

Pelham Bay Park-boundtrains aren't stopping between Hunts Point Av and Parkchester from 3:45 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday because of track replacement.

  • For service to/from bypassed stations, take a Manhattan-bound train.
  • During the day and evening,​​trains are running every 16 minutes in the Bronx. The last stop for alternate Bronx-bound trains is 3 Av-138 St. Transfer to a Pelham Bay Park-bound train to continue your trip.

Metro-North Railroad service changes

Port Jervis Line

Trains aren't running between Suffern and Port Jervis from 12:45 a.m. Saturday to 11:59 p.m. Sunday because of track work and bridge maintenance.

  • Buses connect Ramsey-Route 17 station with all stops between Sloatsburg and Port Jervis.
  • For service to Hoboken and New York from Otisville and Salisbury Mills, consider using nearby Middletown or Harriman stations instead.
    • Only local bus service, which does not connect with trains at Ramsey-Route 17, is available at Otisville and Salisbury Mills.
  • Trains are running between Hoboken and Suffern on a modified schedule with no express trains.
