MANILA, Philippines — The Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) on Thursday warned the public against individuals posing as officers of the agency, emphasizing that its operations are properly coordinated with other law enforcement entities.

PAOCC said that the individuals are involved in illegal activities such as extortion and “hulidap” schemes.

“It is crucial for the community to understand that the PAOCC does not, and will not, engage in any law enforcement operations without the appropriate coordination and partnership with the Philippine National Police (PNP), the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), or either authorized law enforcement agencies,” PAOCC said in a statement.

“Adherence to this protocol is essential for upholding integrity and maintaining the trust of the public,” PAOCC added.

The agency then urged the public to report any incidents of impersonation as PAOCC officers through 09171300792.

It also asked for any leads of the individuals in the poster they put out who introduced themselves as PAOCC officers.
