Low-level runewords for paladins?

My Paladin is Level 17 and has all of his points in Sacrifice and Zeal, with one point in Holy Fire as his Aura. He's doing a ton of damage and I'm having a blast, but my 8-11 Scepter with 5% Life leech just isn't epic enough, so I'm farming the Countess for runes so I can get some epic gear (for Normal difficulty)

Increased attack speed, life and mana leech (Or +mana after each kill) +Skills and +Resistances are what I'm most interested in, I don't know anything about crushing blow or open wounds but those might be fun, too
Runewords for shields, helms, and armor would be great, too

Low-end runewords are pretty scarce, but here's some you can use at level 21 and earlier:

Awesome I'm currently using a Malice Scepter with +2 to Sacrifice and a Stealth Chainmail.

I have never been this badass not even as a Level 42 WW barb O_O

I would suggest a "Steel" flail. Very fast with Zeal and very punishing.

^Thirdeded. Also, stealth makes it on to just about every character i use early game, insanely easy to get and provides you with so many bonuses other armors (for me) just don't compare.

The crushing blow in Black(if you eventually get it) will sort you out for major damage for a long time, and it scales with monster health.

If I were you though, I'd have a recheck of your current skill distribution - generally i wouldn't run with both zeal and sacrifice, much better to choose one and then put points in a complementary aura. Holy fire is great fun at low level but I don't think (?) it scales with level very well, if you keep using it then it could suck later. Good thing you can respec!

I wouldn't bother with a Nadir helm. Pretty useless overall.

Steel runeword works great with elemental auras. My first Holy Freeze Paladin used a Steel flail until Act I Hell.

Nadir's pretty useless after you can get Lore, but CoS shouldn't be ignored completely. While the helmet isn't great, but that single skill can be usefull untill -or especially- in hell difficulty. IIRC, few people have used that helm as end-game equiptment/switch.

Should I put an Ancient's Pledge into a 22 defense Superior Rondache with 40% block and a natural +5 to resistances, or should I save my Ort rune for a better shield? I'm at the beginning of Act 4 so I'm not sure if it's easy to find 3 socketed shields here, but that rondache is the first 3 socketed shield I've ever seen, so...

You will get Ral Ort and Tal from the Act 5 quest, so go ahead and make Ancient's Pledge in that rondache and keep an eye out for a good Crown Shield (50% block) with decent base resists and 3os (also keep any good 2os Crown Shields with decent base resists so you can make Rhyme once you score a Shael rune).

Ort runes will become ridiculously common very soon for you.

When in nightmare remember to check every paladin shield that has 4os and make Spirit in the best.
